Happy late birthday, Mony! I hope this gifset can make up for the lack of a real present. It’s not the prettiest, but it was the best I could make with the appropriate scenes and the quality of ATLA episodes (thank you for helping me choose some of the scenes, btw!). I’d like you to know that even though we haven’t been able to talk as often as we used to when TLOK was airing, you’re still one of my best friends and you can always count on me! ♥

I still don’t think I’ll ever come back to this blog/fandom, but I’m planning to post a new gifset this week for Mony (aka cloudbabies) bc it’s her birthday. And I might post some old gifsets I had planned a long time ago, not this week but you know, in the future. ANYWAY the reason I’m here is that I’m having problems to take ATLA screencaps on KMPlayer. I can take screencaps of literally everything else, including TLOK, but whenever I try to take ATLA screencaps, KMPlayer crashes. I’ve tried reinstalling KMPlayer and downloading the episodes from a different torrent, but nothing worked. Has this happened to anyone?

That’s weird. Are they a different file format? Or might it not like the different aspect ratio for some reason? It’s not like KMPlayer can tell it’s a different show so there must be some kind of difference…
No, it’s the same format (mkv). I’m not sure about the aspect ratio, but I’ll check it! Thanks!

Hey all! Someone on Twitter asked Jeremy what we, as a fandom, could do to help push Sony Legacy into releasing the soundtrack for Books 2-4 of Korra. Jeremy responded by saying that we need to get our message out there and show that we want it. I’m 100% certain that everyone in the Korra fandom admires and adores the soundtrack, and I know we all want the music to this amazing show. In addition to this, Jeremy is a fantastic composer and deserves to have his work out there for purchase. This petition was created by someone on Twitter to help prove that we, as fans of the show, want the music to the rest of the Books of Korra. Just follow the link, sign up, and hit the thumbs up button to show your support. Jeremy has already sent a request to Sony Legacy a couple of months ago about releasing a soundtrack and Sony has not yet responded. Maybe this petition showing our support and love for the music of Korra could help encourage Sony’s decision.
I’m feeling down like I hadn’t felt in a while, and for some reason I decided to come here and ramble a little bit. No need to send me comforting/reassuring messages. I don’t have the energy to respond to any of them and I don’t want to come off as rude or ungrateful.

Since I came here to reblog that photoset, I figured I’d let you guys know that this blog is officially on hiatus (that almost makes it look like my blog is ~super important~). Anyway, I won’t be posting here for a while. I might not even come back. I know I said I’d be in the fandom forever, but I don’t feel like being an active member of it anymore, for many reasons I don’t feel the need to talk about. I still love this franchise with all my heart, of course, and I will still be looking out for news. I will also keep blogging about it on my other blog, along with a lot of other shows and a bunch of other stuff. I still have a few ideas for gifsets and I’m still thinking about whether I’ll post them here or on my other blog. I’d also like to give a shoutout to everyone who sent me kind messages on that day I was feeling really sad about Korra ending and to all the people who said they could recommend me new shows to watch (I didn’t forget you!). I’m doing fine, and even though I will always miss Korra and I doubt I will ever find another show that means as much to me as TLOK did, I’m already watching and enjoying other shows and I now have a big to-watch list thanks to some of my friends, so I don’t think I’ll need more recs, but I appreciate all those messages I got on that day. I guess that’s all. This fandom and all the people I met here will always hold a special place in my heart, so thank you for everything <3
korra in every episode: 3x05 the metal clan

Here it is, the original of the first drawing I did in what would become the Avatar universe, featuring cyclops robot monkey Momo, sci-fi Aang, and bipedal Naga. They all had arrows on their heads. I didn’t know who any of them were, or what any of it meant. I was just exploring it all on paper. I did know that I liked this mystery kid’s spirit and I wanted to know more about him.
This thing is just under thirteen years old! You never know how a single drawing will change the course of your life, and the lives of many other people. I guess the lesson here is to just keep drawing, and follow the characters on the page wherever they may take you.
